Sleepy Downing Street Still Not Smelling Tax Haven Stench

A payment of £10million delivered by a tax-dodging coffee company has failed to wake the British government up from its 55-year coma, sources indicate.

Officials from Her Majesty’s Revenue and Customs (HMRC) said although they were doing all they could to flex their nostrils, the Starbucks cash received last week had not helped them smell anything close to a single waft of the stench that has emanated from offshore tax havens since the late 1950s.

Angela Merkel ‘Stockpiling Coal’

German Chancellor Angela Merkel is believed to be stockpiling coal as part of a plan to impoverish millions of labourers across Europe.

Mountains of the fossil fuel have been spotted adjacent to each of the treasuries of France, Greece, Spain, Portugal, Italy and Ireland as Merkel prepares to win control of their money supplies.

I’ve done it. After a year of gentle sucking at the teat of Britain’s Best Bank*, I’ve finally been accepted as a fully-fledged, fully-paid-up Barclaycard Mercury Music Prize judge.

None of my recommendations so far have received nominations in the 2012 awards, just over two tantalising weeks away, but I have been allowed to cast my vote at the upcoming quarterly board meeting at Barclays HQ.

Tits Plot Revenge Against The Sun

Rupert Murdoch’s News International has become embroiled in yet another scandal after it emerged that The Sun‘s Page 3 girls have fake thoughts.

Ignorant, reactionary and closed-minded remarks inserted within round speech bubbles above the tanned, topless bodies of sexually virile young women featured each day on the first inside facing page of Murdoch’s flagship British publication are in fact manufactured by the paper’s editorial management under the direction of Murdoch himself, the models allege.

We don’t need anyone to make decisions and change things

There’s a dark cloud hanging over this city, and it’s threatening to rain on the people of London for four years straight. We must unite against this threat, we must stick together in these tough times and fight that which would strike us down and besmirch us.

When does an empire cease to be an empire? When member countries gain independence, or when their populations are no longer exploited?
